Kids' Class @ Oak Street Studios - Surface design to sewing projects. Use printing, stitching,painting and appliqué to create custom fabric. From there we will transform the fabric into useful things for your home such as tote bags, pillows, & aprons. And maybe a fun stuffed monster or two. Ages 9 & up.

Kimono Class - Sew a traditional Japanese robe in your choice of fabric.

Alterations Workshop - A 4 hour workshop that will explain the basics of altering your own clothes. How to hem pants, shorten sleeves, take in and let out side seams. Will customize class for the students projects.

I now have a great studio space in the back of Oak Street Studios at 636 Congress St. I am teaching classes on Monday and Tuesday nights.

Monday 7-9 Skirt Class. Starts 6/13. We will be using Amy Butler's Barcelona pattern. $64/4 classes

Tuesday 7-9 Ongoing Class. Bring project of your choice. $16/class

February/March Sewing Classes

A-line skirt – Thurs. Feb. 10, 17, Mar. 3. (no class 2/24) 6:45-8:45 pm $54/3 classes. Create a custom fit skirt. A great beginner project. Includes straight seams, hemming, and a zipper.

Baby Blanket – Tues. Feb. 8, 15. 9:30-11:30 am $36/2 classes. The perfect, one-of-a-kind baby gift, a soft flannel blanket. This project can be simple or complex depending on skill level. Create a 2 sided receiving blanket with decorative stitching or a simple quilt.

Kid’s Class-Tote Bag - Mon. Feb. 28, Mar. 7. 4:00-5:15 pm $36/2 classes, material included. Ages 8-12. Kids learn how to use a sewing machine to make their own tote bag with pockets.

Bags for Guys – Thurs. Mar. 10, 17, 24. 6:45-8:45 pm $54/3 classes. Make a heavy duty tote or shoulder bag with lining and pockets. Covers basic machine skills and construction techniques. For guys or gals.

Hooded Sweatshirt – Sun. Feb 27, Mar. 6, 13. 2:00-4:00 pm $54/3 classes. A favorite intermediate project. Learn zippers, sleeves, and finishing techniques.

Open Studio Sun. Jan 9, 16, 23. 1:00-3:00 pm $12/hr

Studio time to do projects in a fully stocked space. Use the cutting table, try out the machines, and get expert advice on that unfinished project or alteration.

I am passing the summer days playing with new designs and fabrics. My latest totes are all one of a kind. They are made from durable Sunbrella canvas or Cordura. Both of these fabrics are sun and water resistant and washable. The bags have webbing handles, 2 interior pockets, and a snap closure. I am offering these bags at a special price on my Etsy Shop. I will continue to list new bags as I make them.

These are some photos of my line of table mats. They are decorative and functional. I love making them,there are just endless possibilities. I have made some long enough to be considered a table runner or small enough to place under a vase or teapot. Personally, I like them alone on a table.

The warm weather has inspired some new bags. The latest line is linen with floral designs. Of course I am still doing some circles as well. Edith and Edna is stocked so please go and check them out in person. They all have interior pockets, 3 in the large totes, and 2 in the flap style.
